- Reporting Your Child Absent from School Via Classcharts
From Monday 25th September 2023, parents will be able to report their child’s absence from school via Classcharts (this will be Bryntirion Comprehensive School’s preferred method for reporting absence going forward).
It is quick and easy to report an absence via Classcharts - please follow the instructions below:
- Open Classcharts app
- Click on the child you are reporting absent (if multiple children at school)
- Click on Report Absence found in green tab at the top of the page
- Enter date of absence
- Provide reason for absence
- Submit
When reporting absence for more than one child please click on the second child and repeat the process above.
If you are currently unable to access Classcharts, please continue to report your child’s absence by telephone - 01656 641100.
We hope this new absence reporting system will make it easier for you to report your child’s absence in the future.
B. Parent Classcharts
All parents have been invited to join and should have access to Classcharts for Parents.
For those parents who have not yet accessed Classcharts a Parent Access Code will be sent home with students next week.
Instructions for Parents to login to Classcharts for the first time:
- Open www.classcharts.com/parent/login
- Enter your email address
- Choose ‘I don’t have an account yet’
- Enter your parent access code and name
- Choose a password
- Click Log-in!
C. Restricted Access to School Site - End of School day
There is restricted access for all vehicles to and from the school grounds at the end of the school day. This allows our students to leave the school grounds safely at this busy time. The school gates are closed between 2.50pm - 3.10pm. Please could parents not to bring vehicles onto the school site to collect pupils at the end of the school day.
